Terms of Order and Delivery

General

Polar Barks Finland Oy, business ID: 3206429-5, address: Kirjamoinkaari 50, 54915 Saimaanharju; sells products to companies and adults in Finland. These delivery terms are used when ordering products on our online store and during other similar purchases.

These delivery terms are valid from July 30, 2021. We may change the delivery terms unilaterally from time to time, so please read our delivery terms in advance each time you order products from our online store.

Products and prices 

The features and prices of e-commerce products are presented in connection with the product presentation of each product. Keep in mind that we reserve the right to change the prices and delivery costs.  Please check the total in the shopping cart before you accept the order. Product prices include 24% VAT, which is visible in the shopping cart and order confirmation. Prices are quoted in Euros (€) unless otherwise stated.

Shipping fees

The delivery costs may vary depending on the product itself (weight, packaging) and the chosen delivery method and are automatically added to the total amount of the order. You will see the (possible) shipping costs charged for your order in your shopping cart before you accept the order.

Ordering and agreement 

You may order products on the website of our online store by transferring them to the shopping cart, confirming the order, and paying for the contents of the Shopping Cart in the payment service. When ordering from our online store, you are required to read and accept our current delivery terms. You understand that your order, which you have accepted and confirmed, is, except as set forth below in respect of the right of cancellation, binding and creates an agreement between us with these Terms of Delivery.

Payment and payment methods

You can pay for your order using the payment methods described in the online store and available in the shopping cart.

Paytrail Plc acts as a collecting payment service provider and is an authorized Payment Institution. Paytrail Plc will be shown as the recipient on your bank or credit card statement. Paytrail Plc will forward the payment to the merchant. For reclamations, please contact the website the payment was made to.

Order and payment confirmation

After a successful order, an order confirmation will be sent to your email. Please provide an email address when you place your order. The order confirmation also confirms the payment method used. If you do not receive an order confirmation within two (2) business days, please contact our customer service.

If for any unexpected reason we are unable to confirm your order, we will contact you by email as soon as possible.

Method of delivery

We will deliver your order using one of the delivery methods mentioned on our website. The method depends on what you choose for your order.

Delivery time

Our most common delivery times are 2-30 days, depending on the order and the delivery method. Delivery time for items in stock is about 2-7 days. The delivery time for custom orders is about 2–4 weeks. More specific times are shown on the product page. Product-specific delivery times are estimates only and are not binding the seller. Polar Barks Finland Oy is not responsible for additional costs and/or damages incurred by the customer if delivery is delayed. We will notify the customer directly if there is a delivery delay.

Right of cancellation and return policy

If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order via the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (Kuluttajansuojalaki)

You may do this by notifying us no later than 14 days after receiving the goods, the last batch of goods, or, in the case of recurrent delivery, the first batch of goods.

The cancellation notice must be sent to the customer service email address: infopolarbarks.com.

The right to cancel the purchase only applies when the products returned are in their original packaging, unused, and well packaged for the return.

If the purchase is canceled, the goods must be returned without a delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us about the cancellation. Our return address, which is mentioned, below must be used. If necessary, the returning party must prove that the goods have been returned on time: for instance by providing a return receipt. The returning party must pay the cost of the return. These costs will not be reimbursed to the person returning the goods.

When returning an order, include your name and contact information and an IBAN bank account number for a refund.

We will refund the money paid for the order without a delay per the Consumer Protection Act using the payment method used in the order.

Checking of the order and problem situations

Please check the delivery immediately upon receiving it. If the product is lost or damaged during the transport, or otherwise doesn’t match your order or is defective in any other way, please report it to our Customer Service as soon as possible. You have 14 days to contact us for us to correct the error. We are not responsible for damage caused by improper care or washing. In consumer trade, we comply with the mandatory provisions of the Consumer Protection Act on liability for errors.

Limitation of Liability

Polar Barks Finland Oy shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential or other damages related to the order, delivery, or product or for any of the above, except as otherwise provided by a mandatory provision in the Consumer Protection Act or other law for such damage.

Disagreements

Our goal is to settle any disputes regarding your order primarily through customer service, so please contact us if you have any grievances. 

If the dispute concerning the trade agreement cannot be resolved through negotiations between the parties, the consumer may refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi). Before taking the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board, the consumer must contact the Consumer Advice of the Local Register Office (www.kuluttajaneuvonta.fi).
